Duties

Help
  • You will coordinate with tenant commands to input enterprise Military Housing (eMH) data related to the check-ins and vacates of residents, block and unblock beds, and the general updating of resident information.
  • You will create, copy, edit, calculate, revise, retrieve, store and print a wide range of documents in final format from handwritten drafts (e.g., correspondence, reports, graphs, calendar, statistics, mailing labels, tables, etc.)
  • You will reformat or manipulate existing databases to meet reporting requirements (standard and on-standard).
  • You will conduct facility inspections at least twice annually to determine facility conditions, maintenance trends, and malicious damage.
  • You will assist the Director in designing, installing, and maintaining an automated database for statistical and historical information relating to bachelor housing occupancy, utilization, and maintenance.
  • You will submit requirements for major repairs such as paint, plaster, and refinishing floors to supervisor for typing and submission.
  • You will perform minor maintenance such as changing ceiling tiles and light bulbs.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be exposed to the elements when inspecting grounds and transiting various buildings. There may be occasional exposure to dust and dirty conditions while visiting units under repair.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general experience in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.

Education

In lieu of general experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

  • Successful completion of two full academic years of education above high school.
OR
  • Combination of general experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal 100 percent.
