Summary

The Telehealth Program Support Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the implementation and coordination of Telehealth services in the organization. This position requires an individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent support to the Telehealth team. The PSA will work closely with the Facility Telehealth Coordinator as well as healthcare providers, staff, and patients to ensure the successful delivery of Telehealth services.

Major Duties:

  1. Assists management and patient care teams with ensuring that medical records, Telehealth consults, and documentation are completed in a timely fashion.
  2. Ensures that hospital staff education records are completed, filed, and maintained for compliance purposes.
  3. Performs administrative support duties such as typing and filing and prepares various materials for hospital publication.
  4. Researches and provides background on subject matter of meetings, maintains calendar of appointments, schedules Teams calls, coordinates meetings, and takes minutes of various meetings.
  5. Serves as key contact for the Telehealth Program to answer basic program questions or relay messages for personnel.
  6. Provides information and instruction to health care personnel with questions related to iPads, equipment procurement, training, clinic setup, service agreements, credentialing and privileging.
  7. Maintains consistent communication with clinicians to clear and complete visits, incomplete and no status encounters, and incorrect duplicate visits on a regular and ongoing basis.
  8. Transcribes minutes in prescribed format for review and approval by the meeting facilitator and distributes to the appropriate staff.
  9. Collects data that measures the effectiveness of administrative, programmatic, and technical aspects of the program and participates in process improvement.
  10. Organizes, maintains, and revises relevant materials, documents, and PowerPoint presentations for meetings and surveys.
  11. Conducts audits/inspections of all Telehealth programs to ensure proper clinic set up and coding.
  12. Utilizes various databases to input required data pertaining to Telehealth programs.

Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. Subject to change based on the needs of the facility.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 05/08/2026.

You may qualify based on your experience as described below:

  • Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, GS-05, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Utilizing computer office software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Utilizing medical software such as VISTA, CPRS, or other similar software; Communicating effectively with a broad range of individuals; Effective planning, organization and office operation to manage diverse materials; Reading, interpreting and applying moderate to complex written instructions.
