Duties

Help
  • Coordinates intelligence policy between the Agency, National Security Council, and Intelligence Community on sensitive programs requiring Presidential Findings and related global operations.
  • Oversee the Agency support for Department of Defense intelligence operations abroad, including Defense Attaches, clandestine operations, and special compartmented programs.
  • Serve as the Agency lead for counterintelligence programs and operations.
  • Oversee Bureau engagement with Congress, including the Senate and House Intelligence Committees.
  • Manage and oversee the Agency Chief of Mission intelligence oversight program.
  • Serves as the National Security Council primary liaison on sensitive intelligence activities requiring Presidential approval.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Obtain/maintain eligibility to access Sensitive Compartmented Information

Qualifications

Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience providing advice, guidance, and briefings on intelligence policy coordination and program-related issues to senior officials at the Agency, National Security Council, and Intelligence Community agencies.
  • Experience interpreting Intelligence Community Directives and applying them to organizational work, while drafting and editing memoranda, background papers, and intelligence policy documents.
  • Experience managing and supervising multidisciplinary staff to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-15 position.
