As a Management Analyst, GS-0343-10, you will provide information and analyses to all levels of management using the assessments to answer the why, how, when and where questions.

  • For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
  • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
  • Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
  • Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management. Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience analyzing performance data to determine manpower, equipment, and facilities maintenance capabilities. Must have experience with analysis of maintenance manning and equipment, material and facility limitations to determine the impact each has on unit and mission effectiveness. Must have experience identifying data system problems, coordinating with data automation monitors, and submits system deficiency reports.

Recruitment/Relocation Incentive: May be authorized for highly qualified candidates or hard to fill positions. TAG is final approval authority for any incentive requests.

Relocation costs are authorized subject to provisions of the Joint Travel Regulation and an agency determination that a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move is in the Government's best interest.

Superior Qualifications and Special Needs Pay-setting Authority may be considered for this position. TAG is the final approval authority for incentive programs (applicable to newly appointed federal employees or those with a 90-day break in service).

-This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
