You will review work order requirements reflecting systems, parts, and assemblies to be repaired, modified, or installed, in order to plan projects.
You will interpret specifications (e.g. shop directives, diagrams, blueprints, sketches, work orders) to determine materials, tools, and equipment needed for the project and how or what repairs need to be made.
You will examine and troubleshoot general industrial plant machinery, equipment, and systems to determine areas of difficulty.
You will diagnose malfunctions of complex machinery, equipment, and systems that have complex interrelationships with various possible causes and combinations of factors that may be the source of trouble.
You will use and apply standard formulas, shop mathematics, trade theories, and industry practices to calculate materials and problem solving.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

This position requires occasional climbing and working from ladders and stagings, causing exposure to possibility of serious injury from slipping or falling.

You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid CDL Class B with Airbrakes.
