Serves as Property Book Officer with government management, oversight and responsibility for large and complex property books.
Responsible for the accomplishment of overall mission and functions that consist of, but are not limited to, the following functional elements: property accountability, equipment/asset management, and supply and services support.
Maintains Property Book, Sensitive Item, Durable Property Equipment Packages and directs annual hand receipt holder inventories.
Maintains Government Furnished Property (GFP) Fiduciary records in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFAR).
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Maintaining property inventory records to ensure continuous accountability of organizational assets; and 2) Processing property loss or transfer documentation to ensure compliance with established organizational policies; and/or 3) Analyzing supply system data to recommend procedural improvements to logistics operations.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
