Help
  • Serves as Property Book Officer with government management, oversight and responsibility for large and complex property books.
  • Responsible for the accomplishment of overall mission and functions that consist of, but are not limited to, the following functional elements: property accountability, equipment/asset management, and supply and services support.
  • Maintains Property Book, Sensitive Item, Durable Property Equipment Packages and directs annual hand receipt holder inventories.
  • Maintains Government Furnished Property (GFP) Fiduciary records in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFAR).

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.

  • Current U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) employees with personal competitive status. Consideration will also be given to current Army employees with personal competitive status.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Maintaining property inventory records to ensure continuous accountability of organizational assets; and 2) Processing property loss or transfer documentation to ensure compliance with established organizational policies; and/or 3) Analyzing supply system data to recommend procedural improvements to logistics operations.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

  • U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) provides direct support to Transformation and Training Command and relevant, timely information to senior Army leaders to make future force decisions enabling Multi-Domain Operations through rigorous developmental testing and independent operational tests and evaluations.
  • The U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) is the Army's premier test center, featuring the longest overland artillery range in the nation. YPG conducts developmental testing on nearly every piece of equipment in the ground combat arsenal and is at the forefront of the Army's modernization efforts. The proving ground plays a critical role in developing the Army's future force by supporting the Army's modernization priorities. YPG is a key site for demonstrating advanced capabilities and informing the Army's transformation. As part of the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), YPG is instrumental in shaping the future of the force under the new Transformation and Training Command (T2COM).
  • YPG manages test operations at three locations: Yuma Test Center in Yuma, Arizona; Arctics Regions Test Center at Fort Greely, Alaska; and Tropic Regions Test Center on leased land at multiple locations in Central and South America. This position is located in southwestern La Paz County and western Yuma County in southwestern Arizona, United States, approximately 30 miles north-east of the city of Yuma.
