As a Management Analyst, GS-0343-13, you will perform a variety of complex management analysis assignments where the employee applies qualitative and quantitative methods to the analysis and evaluation of administrative operations, organizations, and management practices.

Help
  • Analyze and evaluate the management practices and methods, and administrative operations of substantive organizations and complex functions.
  • Provide expert analysis and evaluation of work processes and policies, management practices and work operations taking into full consideration complex legislative, programmatic and management issues and problems.
  • Review and evaluate managerial policies and procedures to determine gaps where additional guidance is needed and analyzes the impact of new or proposed legislation on agency operations.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports of findings and recommendations considering such factors as actual accomplishments versus established goals, adequacy of existing versus new programs, and costs incurred in the conduct of the program.
  • Develop implementation plans with milestones, timetables, audit trails, and evaluation procedures.

In order to qualify for the 13 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the 12 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Providing technical assistance or interpretation of operations, policies, or guidelines to customers. 2) Developing, analyzing, or evaluating new or modified program management policies, regulations, and objectives. AND 3) Conducting studies of administrative operations in order to recommend improvements for senior leadership.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
