This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state Commercial Class B with (N)Tank endorsement Driver's License.
This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random drug testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Works in cramped and hard to reach places from spider staging, snooper crane, ladders, etc. This requires standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in uncomfortable positions. Frequently required to lift, carry, and set up materials and equipment weighing 40 pounds and over.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normally works outside subject to the elements and often at considerable heights. There is a constant danger of serious cuts and bruises and falling and drowning. Wears protective clothing including breathing apparatus when sand blasting. Work is extremely dirty. In addition, subject to fumes and breathing sand when blasting. Solvents used in painting cause skin and eye irritations. Welding involves exposure to fumes, heat, flying sparks, the glare of torches and heated materials. Danger to self due to working at heights of 100 feet or higher is compensated premium pay and has not been considered in establishing the grade level for this job (CPR P. 40.8-6a).
