You will evaluate the physical characteristics of the ship (blueprint) to ascertain capacity upon receiving the proposed load listing, and the name of the assigned ship.
You will assemble the package from the proposed load listing into workable units by Coast Guard Class, weight and cube, in order to proceed with pre-planning.
You will coordinate with various other depots/commands that have pre-loaded cargo, to assure proper spaces compatibility and stability.
You will assign the proper manpower for best efficiency, schedule the work daily for Waterfront and magazine personnel.
You will direct and advise Ordnance personnel on technical aspects of stowage.
You will prepare cost estimates and detailed job orders and investigate differences between estimated and detailed job orders.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
To qualify for the MARINE CARGO SPECIALIST, GS-2161-09, your resume must demonstrate at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with and knowledge of ammunition compatibility.
Experience compiling data, computing figures and preparing reports.
Experience communicating with all levels of management and must be organized.
Experience investigating, analyzing and recommending solutions to complex problems.
