Serve as a Project Manager for the development, design, and coordination of various construction, maintenance, and repair requirements involved in projects received by DPW.
Develop detailed step-by-step plans for accomplishing the project and prepare detailed schematic drawings and complete construction plans utilizing CADD programs reflecting construction details ensuring code compliance.
Perform contract quality assurance evaluation visits with the COR while work is in progress.
Make decisions regarding normal engineering problems and forwards findings or recommendations to the supervisor in controversial, precedent or policy cases.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This is an inclement weather position. The incumbent is expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during inclement weather conditions.

Specialized Experience:
I have one year of specialized experience that includes the following. 1) Provide research and information for contracts pertaining to areas such as maintenance, repair or construction projects during the approval process. 2) Create documents with detailed step-by-step plans as instructed by the project manager throughout project. 3) Under direction of project manager use automated systems such as Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) or estimating software packages to create information such as schematic drawings or cost estimation for the project. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
