Duties

Help
  • Supports activities and services of the athletics and intramural sports program. Provides oversight of events and tournaments.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures.
  • Monitors condition of, cleans, and performs minor maintenance on athletics equipment.
  • Assists in setting up for special events and sports tournaments. Assistants with publicity of events and tournaments and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers, and other promotional material.
  • Provides outstanding customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must obtain and maintain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within one year of employment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45Ibs independently and objects over 45Ibs with assistance.
  • Must be able to endure physical demands beyond normal requirements including prolonged standing and walking, and must be able to work in settings where exposure to moderate discomforts may exist.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, to include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work rotating shift, to include evenings, weekends, and MWR Special Events.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

1. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.
2. Must be able to obtain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

  1. One year of full-time work experience in the sports and fitness industry.
  2. Current nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.

Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria/Highly Preferred will be referred to the hiring manager. All other qualified applicants will be referred if requested by the hiring manager.

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
