You will monitor closed circuit television (CCTV) screens trained on sensitive areas/critical assets for a variety of security reasons.
You will analyze Images displayed of an authorized or unauthorized presence within the range of CCTV camera while monitoring CCTV screens.

You will monitor and/or operates electronic security systems involving numerous alarm panels, call boxes, maintenance related items, intrusion detection systems, video motion detection systems, ground-based radars, and various security alarms.
You will monitor and operates the Mass Notification (MNS) as directed to ensure proper dissemination of emergency mass notification messages throughout the installation.
You will ensure all communication and alarm systems are in proper working order.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

The position Is covered by 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.

This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications
GS-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience independently monitoring closed circuit television (CCTV) screens trained on sensitive areas/critical assets and monitoring electronic security systems, in addition to receiving, evaluating, and prioritizing incoming calls for service and up-dating information to be relayed to responding medical, police and fire personnel.
GS-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of general experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates assisting in monitoring electronic security systems and closed circuit television (CCTV) in addition to communicating with emergency personnel for appropriate response.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
