Duties

Help

Serves as the Work Order Manager in the Material Management Group, responsible for administering and executing supply and inventory management activities in support of Facilities Management operations.
In this position, you will:
- Fulfill Facilities Management work orders by ensuring required materials are available and properly tracked.
- Maintain storeroom inventory levels, stock locations, and preventive maintenance kits to support operational readiness.
- Use TrackAbout, Maximo, and other systems to manage inventory, monitor usage, and process material requests and transfers.
- Order and procure materials and services, including replenishing stock and supporting special purchase requests.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for management and researchers on inventory-related matters, including material availability, safety requirements, and MSDS information.
- Serve as a purchase card holder and COR, including purchase reconciliation and contract oversight.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve issues and support acquisitions.
- Participate in spot and annual inventories to ensure material accountability and record accuracy.
- Assist in updating policies, reports, and acquisition documents, including PWS and SOW.
- Respond to customer inquiries by clarifying requirements and communicating service levels, timelines, and status updates.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet one of the following.

A. Possess one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 (ZA-I at NIST) level.
Specialized experience is defined as experience in receiving, issuing, and reconciling supply transaction for a multiple commodity storeroom.

OR

B. master's or equivalent graduate degree

OR

C. two full
years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

D. LL.B. or J.D.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
