Duties

Help
  • Responsible for planning, managing, directing, coordinating, and supervising all division functions, programs, and activities, as well as carrying out delegated personnel management responsibilities.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness in terms of mission accomplishment, compliance with procedures, policies, and regulations, quality and quantity of services, and overall profitability, and provides recommendations for improvement.
  • Reviews budget estimates submitted by program activities to ensure completeness and alignment with program goals and objectives.
  • Identifies program strengths and weaknesses and develops strategies to enhance services, reduce operational costs, and increase efficiency.
  • Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates community-wide revenue-generating programs.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  1. Progressively responsible experience performing related duties, which demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of this position.
  2. Experience in a supervisory capacity is mandatory.
  3. Knowledge of the goals, concepts and techniques of a community activities program, including recreation, sports, entertainment and art, and of general management and business operations of various facilities is required.
  4. Five years' experience in formulating and executing APF and NAF budgets is desirable.
NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents. A copy of all documents must be submitted at the time of application.

Highly Preferred - Resume must demonstrate experience in the highly preferred criteria.
  1. Possesses at least one (1) year experience in food and beverage services/operations.
Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list.

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.

United States Army Installation Management Command

The position is located at United States Army Garrison Dugway Proving Ground, located west of Tooele, Utah, approximately 50 minutes; a 90-minute drive from Salt Lake City, Utah, two hours from world-famous skiing and many outdoor opportunities and only six hours from Denver, Colorado. Dugway offers various alternate work schedule opportunities with most of the workforce working 4 ten-hour shifts Monday through Thursday. Affordable on Post housing is available to accommodate most families or singles. Employees choosing to live off post may use subsidized commuter van transport which operates to and from many of the major cities and towns throughout Utah.
