Duties

Help
  • You will directly oversee and manage a small team of enlisted and/or civilian personnel to ensure multiple secure facilities remain operational for fleet support.
  • You will provide a variety of non-standard security functions and specialized duties related to the unique operational and administrative requirements of assigned programs.
  • You will coordinate with internal and external agencies ensuring only trusted entities have access to classified information and information systems.
  • You will train subordinate units to execute significant portions of Personnel Security (PERSEC) Program.
  • You will be responsible for pursuing initial accreditation for new construction SAPFs, and for maintaining accreditation of existing facilities.
  • You will directly supervise a team of Security Specialists, Assistants, and/or military personnel who perform a wide variety of security and administrative support services.
  • You will provide program indoctrination and debriefings of highly technical and sensitive special projects.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes as required.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will need to obtain a SFPC - Security Fundamentals Professional Certification.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing security programs and procedures to identify and resolve security problems related to a fully functional Security Program (e.g., personnel security, physical security, industrial security, information and operational).
