As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, GS-0346-13, you will:

The incumbent serves as the base senior Logistics Management Officer/Commander assigned to the Logistics Readiness Squadron, Mission Support Group, in an ANG Wing. Its primary purpose is to provide overall senior level supervisory management of the logistics personnel and programs. Plans, directs, and administers logistics programs to include Operations Compliance, Cargo Movement, Air Transportation, Logistics Plans, Vehicle Maintenance and Management, Ground Transportation, Fuels Management and Material Management. Supervises positions engaged in substantive logistics work. Responsible for overall management of the units' resources, manpower, equipment accountability, internal controls and training in peacetime, in preparation to perform the State and Federal missions.

  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary and/or trial period.

Qualifications

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: Maj to Lt Col are eligible to apply. Required AFSC: 21R3. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised. This position will be required to be the DSG Commander.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Minimum Requirements: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least next lower grade level. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a separate sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they relate to work experience, education or training.

  • Knowledge of base logistics functions to include Operations Compliance, Cargo Movement, Air Transportation, Logistics Plans, Vehicle Maintenance and Management, Ground Transportation, Fuels Management and Material Management.
  • Knowledge of regulations and directives regarding all classes of supply and multiple logistics services.
  • Skill to lead, direct and assign work of personnel.
  • Knowledge of the units' resources, manpower, equipment accountability, and internal controls.

MILITARY INCENTIVES:
Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position over 180 days will result in suspension or termination of these military incentives.
