Duties

Help

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties in support of the Information, Tickets and Travel Office. Operates cash registers and computerized point of sale system and reservation software program: accepting cash, and credit cards for merchandise and services. Responsible for change fund, cashier ticket inventory, daily receipts, balancing cash reports, preparing bank deposits, and assists with monthly analysis of budget variance. Coordinates reservations for shows and tickets registration and money for tours. Maintains a working relationship with local establishments, hotel chains, and AFS agency for coordination. Receives tickets on computerized purchasing systems. Performs a variety of general administrative duties: Creates and routes a variety of letters, reports, statistical material, publicity material, and similar correspondence. Maintains paper and electronic files and assists with maintaining and verifying inventories. Assists in various activities and events sponsored by the Community Support Flight. Gives written and verbal information to customers. Performs the following: Drives one or more types of motor vehicles to include passenger vehicles, passenger vans, and pickup trucks based on specific assignments and schedules. Reads maps and judges road, traffic, water, snow and weather conditions to determine the safest and fastest route. Performs other duties assigned. Subject to an irregular tour of duty, to include evenings, weekends and holidays.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience which provides a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs; and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities equipment, rules and procedures which involves recreational work in specialty in which the position is assigned. General office skills to include typing and filing is required. Must have knowledge of cash register, cash handling procedures, bank deposits and simple cashier reports. Knowledge of computers is required. Knowledge of the surrounding area and Government Travel desired. Prior customer service experience is required. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and possess skill in dealing with the public.
