Help
  • Conducting investigations for complex workplace harassment and employment discrimination claims.

  • Preparing, organizing, and presenting briefings, seminars, and discussions on topics related to conflict resolution, anti-harassment, and human leadership training.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Program Specialist (ADR/Investigator), PG -0301-12/13, you must meet the following requirements:

To minimally qualify for the PG-12 level, you must have one year of specialized experience at the PG-11 (or equivalent) level or higher. The specialized experience for this grade level includes implementing and evaluating federal anti-harassment policies and procedures; creating and refining strategies and procedures for investigating and addressing workplace harassment allegations; conducting and drafting workplace investigative plans and reports (subject to a writing sample); mediation experience; and providing training on anti-harassment investigations and conflict resolution strategies for a variety of audiences.

To minimally qualify for the PG-13 level, you must have one year of specialized experience at the PG-12 (or equivalent) level or higher. The specialized experience for this grade level includes developing, implementing, and evaluating federal anti-harassment policies and procedures to address corrective measures for complex workplace harassment allegations; extensive experience conducting federal workplace investigations (subject to a writing sample); skilled in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) techniques, including mediation, facilitation, and negotiation; skilled in administering engagement programs; skilled in record management systems; and experience developing and delivering training on topics such as human leadership, workplace engagement, conflict resolution and anti-harassment for a variety of audiences.

For items listed above that may be subject to writing samples, these items will be collected during the interview process and graded on an individual basis.

This position calls for significant experience with mediation. Although it is not a requirement to be found qualified for this vacancy, if you have any certifications related to mediation efforts, please provide a copy of the certificate/s with your application package.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

For a Public Trust:
To ensure the accomplishment of its mission, the GPO requires every employee to be reliable and trustworthy; this position requires a Moderate Risk Public Trust background investigation. To meet those standards, all selected applicants must undergo and successfully complete a background for a Moderate Risk Public Trust. This review could include financial issues such as delinquency in the payment of debts, child support and/or tax obligations, as well as criminal offenses and illegal use or possession of drugs; this process may take 6 weeks or longer. The Agency may rescind the tentative offer, if the candidate is unable to pass the background investigation.

The selectee will work shift 1.
