Duties

Help
  • The incumbent works in the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Information Operations (J6), Program Executive Office (J62), Platform Technical and Application Support (J62XF), Application and Compliance Technical Support (J62XFB).
  • Provide support for the development of existing and newly requested SAP Portal content (I.E., iViews, Pages, Roles, Worksets, and System Objects).
  • Perform technical upgrades for all Portal components to support new development as required.
  • Maintain Single Sign On (SSO) capabilities and develop new SSO solutions for backend applications.
  • Collaborate with the PST Team to design, build, and execute Performance Stress Testing scenarios report for EBS and External Portals.
  • Provide administration support for Portal and SAP Web Dispatcher environments to include (i.e., patching, file storage and transfer, importing and exporting SAP Portal content, file systems ...
  • ...and portal provisioning, documentation of processes, security documentation, account management, troubleshooting, network configuration and operation system configuration).
  • Provide day-to-day and emergency support for all portal environments in the build, performance test and Production Support landscapes.
  • Resolves problems and areas requiring corrective action as related to day-to-day operations.
  • Responsible for applying an in-depth knowledge of appropriate software life cycle management policies and procedures.
  • Establish, monitor, update and implement actions for Plans of Action and Milestones (POAandM) related to the Enterprise Level applications in TandD, Production, and COOP environments.
  • Interprets and clarifies policies, procedures, performance standards and monitoring techniques related to audit readiness, vulnerability management, and information security.

Qualifications

To qualify for An IT Specialist (APPSW), your resume and supporting documentation must support:

A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

  • Performs design, development and maintenance of appropriate portions of training material in a prescribed method that will be used for knowledge transfer and training of other team members.
  • Develops project plans, implementation guidance, and assesses implementation of information assurance vulnerability alerts and CERT taskings.
  • Interprets and clarifies policies, procedures, performance standards and monitoring techniques related to audit readiness, vulnerability management, and information security.
  • Participates in all phases of the systems development life cycle, including design, development, support and maintenance of the assigned system.
  • Executes software administration best practices to ensure system confidentiality, availability and integrity, security.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is committed to maintaining a safe, drug-free workplace. All DLA employees are required to refrain from illegal drug use on and off duty. DLA conducts pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and random drug testing.

The DLA drug testing panel tests for the following substances: marijuana, cocaine, opiates, heroin, phencyclidine, amphetamines, methamphetamines, fentanyl, norfentanyl, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), and opioids.

ADVISORY: Use of cannabidiol (CBD) products may result in a positive drug test for marijuana. DLA employees are subject to Federal law and under Federal law, Marijuana is a Schedule I drug and is illegal.
