Summary

Performs specified diagnostic test and treatments, may include but not limited to:
Collect, label and transport patient specimens.
Stool guaiac
Throat cultures.
Urine specimens.
Wound cultures.
Performs quality control checks-procto equipment.
Applies complex types of dressings.
Change dressings.
Performs urinary catheterizations.
Inputs and extracts patient disposition, lab and other tests in the computer as indicated.
Orders an maintains an adequate level of clinic supplies and equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: collecting patient information, collect, label and transport patient specimen, change dressings, and maintain and organize supply and equipment rooms.
