Orders authorized military prescription eyewear using the DoD Spectacle Request Transmission System (SRTS).

Ensures exam rooms are opened and closed properly daily, kept in an orderly appearance, and remain fully operational by reporting problems and facilitating work orders.
Cleans clinical equipment after each patient and at the end of the day to maintain infection control.

Scribes for optometrist as needed.
Directs and trains personnel as needed, including new optometry technicians and military medical personnel rotating through the clinics for deployment ophthalmic readiness and cross training

This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.

Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience which includes operating optometry equipment, screening optometry patients, and conducting various vision tests, such as color and depth perception.
