Help
  • Serves as Contracting Officer Representative (COR Level II), monitoring payments, schedules, and quality of contract deliverables.
  • Serves as a project manager, coordinating appropriate flows of information between the Facilities and Engineering departments, and ensure all cost-drivers are adequately captured.
  • Tracks and support on project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals.
  • Evaluates work performance of subordinates.
  • Liaises with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis and effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist, PG -1640-13, you must meet the following requirements:

Specialized Experience:
To minimally qualify for the PG-13 level, you must meet the following requirements. One (1) year of specialized experience at the PG-12 (or equivalent) level or higher. Specialized experience includes:

(1) Identifying and integrating internal and external program issues affecting immediate organization, such as those involving technical, financial, organizational, and administrative factors; AND
(2) Reviewing and approving reports, decisions, and other action documents in his/her team and assures they accurately reflect the policies and positions of the organization; AND
(3) Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, set, and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.

OR

Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR):

In addition to the Specialized experience this series 1640 has an Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR)-Education Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration. to qualify.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.

All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (04/28/2026) to be considered.

Work Life Balance:
The GPO offers Transit subsidy for commuters using public transportation (Metro Bus/Rail, MARC, VRE, etc.). Telework availability is situational.

Background Investigation:

To ensure the accomplishment of its mission, the GPO requires every employee to be reliable and trustworthy; this position requires a Moderate Risk Public Trust background investigation. To meet those standards, all selected applicants must undergo and successfully complete a background for a Moderate Risk Public Trust. This review could include financial issues such as delinquency in the payment of debts, child support and/or tax obligations, as well as criminal offenses and illegal use or possession of drugs; this process may take 6 weeks or longer. The Agency may rescind the tentative offer, if the candidate is unable to pass the background investigation.

Schedule A (Disability Appointment):
Documentation of eligibility for employment under Schedule A can be obtained from a licensed medical professional (e.g., a physician or other medical professional certified by a state, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory to practice medicine); a licensed vocational rehabilitation specialist (i.e., state or private); or any Federal agency, state agency, or agency of the District of Columbia or a U.S. territory that issues or provides disability benefits.
