This vacancy announcement is for a Dual-Status Technician position which requires active membership in the New Jersey National Guard (uniformed military service). Official appointment is not effective until membership within the New Jersey National Guard is confirmed by the gaining Human Resources Office.
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. General Experience:
Must have the following experience(s);
Repairing malfunctions of ordnance equipment and components
Using sketches, electrical diagrams, technical specifications and engineering drawings
Using test equipment to make electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic checks
Specialized Experience:
Must have 18 months of the following experience(s);
Planning and laying out repair sequence to complete modification, repair and installation of ordnance systems
Diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions
Using hand tools and a limited number of measuring equipment
Using a variety of test equipment
Interpreting technical directions, blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's specifications
