Duties

Help
  • Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for the FMTS office and the EFMP, overseeing the administrative procedural aspects of the program for the Health Facility.
  • Upon presentation to the FMTS/EFMP office, incumbent checks individual patients for eligibility of care and determines the reason for the visit.
  • Responsible for ensuring documents are reviewed by the appointed FMTS or EFMP provider; inputting the information into the approved enrollment system within 5 business days of receipt; and, submitting the documents for validation.
  • Develop and implement instructions and procedures, and assures proper execution of administrative policy and regulatory material issued by higher authority.
  • Establish relationships with other activities, such as military personnel, education districts, family support, reception battalions, child services, early intervention programs. Works collaboratively with these agencies to achieve objectives.
  • Provide training to medical personnel assigned to the health facility to support FMTS and EFMP, including requests for medical compassionate re-assignment and medical stabilization.
  • Establish and maintain records and data related to FMTS and EFMP activities.
  • Monitor equipment and maintenance, initiate work order requests for equipment as needed or for system issues, identify needs and sources for training and assists with system utilization/operator issues.

  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.

  • This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular work hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and/or varying work schedules.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experiencerequirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing medical records to identify special medical or educational needs, coordinating services or referrals for patients, and providing patient counseling or education. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

OR

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
