Duties

Help
  • Works under general supervision, following established policies and procedures. Provides information and assists patrons with a variety of events, entertainment, attractions, theme parks, sporting events and souvenirs.
  • Sells tickets for the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, Welfare and Recreation Association Program.
  • Operates a cash register. Receives money from customer, counts and make correct change.
  • Accounts for ticket sales and payment received. Assists in the completion of control sheets and inventory merchandise. Maintains a clean and presentable work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

Incumbent must be self-motivated and a strong team player, detail oriented and organized. Capable of following directions. Must have good interpersonal and customer service skills. A good understanding of basic financial concepts, experience with a cash register and able to communicate in English, both written and oral.

  • This job is open to candidates who live local. Local is considered with in 50-mile radius of Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
