Performs and/or assists with the operation and maintenance of indoor/outdoor recreational facilities within all of Outdoor Recreation Follows established schedules of events as well as the rules and regulation to be observed. Types of duties include, but are not limited to the following: Inspect facilities and equipment to ensure safe conditions and cleanliness; performs minor repairs and adjustments, issues and receives recreation equipment to include power boats, Jon boats, canoes, sail boats, kayaks and other equipment such as carpet cleaners, tents and power tools, takes registration and payment for programs, instructional classes and/or retail items; monitors boat usage and availability, weather conditions and possible emergency conditions and reports problems to supervisors or proper authorities; ensures all safety equipment is issued, receives, safeguards and deposits fees collected from customers; assists in conducting inventories and protecting assets, maintains records old equipment issued; may administer boating safety test and check rides, monitors dock activity to include safe boat handling, refueling and cleaning of boats, assists at customer service counter ringing sales and answering phones.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment, point of sales system, rules and procedures to include watercraft and the skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are required. Possess a valid current drivers license and the ability to operate vehicle in a safe manner. Be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification. Be able to work both inside and outside in variable weather conditions. Be able to work variable hours, to include holiday and weekends.
