Develops long range, multi-year work plans for operation, maintenance, and repair of Medical Facilities to enhance achievement of organizational goals and objectives
Determines repair projects and annual work plan scope of work considering operability, adaptability, ease and cost of maintenance, regulatory requirements, and patient care mission needs for all facilities maintenance work in a Medical Facility.
Serves as resident technical expert on policy, regulatory matters, operations and maintenance pertaining to medical and dental health care facilities.
Exercises direct and indirect supervision over in house staff and maintenance contractor which consists of a wide range of skilled trades and technical support including mechanical, electrical, and electronic skills in a Medical Facility.
Develops funding and budget requirements for the maintenance and operations portion of the Facilities Management Branch for support to MEDDAC, DENTAC and VETCOM Medical Facilities
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this
requirement.
