Duties

Help
  • Develops, coordinates and manages a variety of projects from inception to completion.
  • Identifies actual or potential problem areas, trends, significant accomplishments, areas of imbalance, or similar factors involved.
  • Analyzes changes in programs, technological developments, events that cannot be predicted, or conflicting requirements.
  • Monitors all maintenance or equipment installation projects for timeliness, accuracy and completion.
  • Interpret project requirements to set up detailed work operations on a daily basis to meet work schedules.
  • Assists in developing annual and long-range execution plans that cover a wide range of concerns.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: preparing, altering and revising project records and providing periodical status reports; recommending the number and types of employees needed, considering skills, personnel, materials, and equipment available and required; coordinating work of one shop with other shops that may be involved; and serving as primary point of contact on all matters concerning special projects.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
