Summary

Serves as the senior Intelligence Research Specialist providing all-source analysis on political, economic, and security developments in Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Holy See, and Malta.
Represents the Department in interagency meetings, advises policymakers, briefs Congress, and serves as a government-wide expert.
Advises on and performs intelligence research bearing on U.S. relations with foreign governments and international organizations.
Represents the Department in resolving intelligence issues and disputes in Intelligence Community and other interagency working group meetings.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Qualifications
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience conducting intelligence analysis using methods and principles from political science, international relations, and related disciplines to produce policy-relevant assessments for U.S. foreign policy programs.
Experience collaborating with the Department of State, the Intelligence Community, and interagency processes to support national intelligence activities and inform senior policymakers.
Experience providing oral briefings and written analyses on Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Holy See, and Malta to senior government officials, leveraging intelligence from diverse sources.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
