The United States Space Force (USSF) at Patrick Space Force Base, FL is searching for a Technical Director for Delta 10 (NH-0801-04, GS-14/15 Equivalent).

Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Space Delta 10's Technical Director & Delta Staff 4/6 lead to provide oversight and decision making on software solutions, facilities and IT infrastructure necessary for mission accomplishment. Requires strong modeling and simulation, as well as digital engineering, background and can manage a team of government and contractor personnel to execute assigned tasks related to facility design and maintenance as well as communication systems installation and sustainment.

Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Experience working with intelligence community and analysis, specifically related to space systems and operations.
2. Ability to plan, advise senior leaders, Program Element Monitors and field-level representatives, organize, and direct the functions and supervise, mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors
3. Experience using and implementing various models for analytic purposes.
4. Ability to identify problems, develop and implement innovative detailed strategies to resolve a wide range of programming, budgetary, financial and management issues.
5. Ability to executive complex projects and/or studies within established time constraints.
6. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and maintain relationships with key individuals/groups within and outside immediate work unit including field-level representatives.

  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret SCI security clearance.
  • Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
  • This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
  • Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
  • PCS / relocation funding is authorized.
  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): 30 days a year.
  • Position requires a professional engineering degree at the bachelor's level from an ABET accredited institution is required. Advanced degrees are preferred.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
