The United States Space Force (USSF) at the Pentagon is searching for a Supervisory Program Analyst to support HQSF/S3A (NH-0343-04, GS-14/15 Equivalent).

This is an obligated position Not to exceed 24 months.

Description:
This announcement is being used to fill a Director/Deputy Director role in either the Global Operations or Space Enterprise divisions within HQSF S3/4/7.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background as a proven leader and supervisor, demonstrable experience managing complex projects and teams, and a comprehensive understanding of space operations, assessments, and leadership. They should possess:
- Proven Leadership: 5+ years leading and managing diverse teams (GS-14/15 equivalent) with demonstrated success in performance management and conflict resolution.
- Strategic Influence: Ability to analyze complex issues, develop innovative solutions, and effectively advocate for program priorities to senior leaders.
- Subject Matter Expertise: In-depth knowledge of USSF, DAF, and space operations.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects from inception to completion, including risk management.
- Joint/Interagency Collaboration: Experience working effectively in joint/interagency environments to build consensus and achieve shared objectives.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills to effectively present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Education: Master's degree preferred but can substitute education with experience.
- HQ Staff Experience: Prior experience working on a Headquarters staff is preferred.


Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of the Department of Defense processes and Department of Air Force policy, procedures, and schedules for developing plans in support of major Space Force missions and operations plans.
2. Knowledge of Space Force program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions as related to actual events.
3. Knowledge of the Space Force Strategic Basing process to include the Basing Request Review Panel (BRRP), the Strategic Basing Executive Steering Group (SBESG), and the Space Force Corporate Structure.
4. Knowledge of the relationship of the various Space Force entities involved in overall planning and execution of military operations and evaluations, and the way Space Force processes support them.
5. Knowledge of Space Force installations to include the interaction of Total Force (Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve).
6. Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making.
7. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintains good working relations.

  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret /SCI security clearance.
  • Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
  • This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
  • Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
  • PCS / relocation funding is authorized.
  • This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): 15 days a year.
