About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to Potomac Lanes on Joint Base Anacostia Bolling in Washington, DC. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of limited maintenance work within a bowling facility. Heavy physical effort is required in frequent lifting and moving objects weighing over 50 pounds, and in using heavy hand tools and operating equipment.

Duties

Help

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of limited maintenance work within a bowling facility.Cleans, oils, and polishes the bowling lanes and lane approaches adhering to established standards. Sweeps, dusts, and cleans other areas of the bowling facility; collects and removes trash; and maintains all areas in a clean and orderly fashion. Hand sands and varnishes minor flaws in lanes until surface can be conditioned.Makes minor corrective adjustments to bowling lane machinery as necessary, and performs periodic minor preventive maintenance on automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment.Maintains stock levels and records on spare parts for automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment. Advises bowling facility management of unusual maintenance problems.Works indoors in areas that may be dusty, drafty, and noisy. Special care is required to avoid serious injuries. Requires caution in working with moving parts during operation of equipment.Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Knowledge in the maintenance of bowling lanes; skill and ability to operate, control and clean heavy powered equipment. Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions. Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.

Education
