This position is designated as mission essential. The incumbent will be required to ensure continuity of Tripler Army Medical Center's operations during ALL hazard's emergency situations.
This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
This position may require overtime work.
This position requires rotating 8 hour shifts, 7 days a week starting 0430 to1930, to include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.

Physical Effort: Work involves light to heavy physical effort, such as frequent lifting of items weighing up to 45 pounds (trays of food); occasionally lifting in excess of 50 pounds. Work involves constant walking, standing, and frequent stooping and bending.
Working Conditions: Work areas are often uncomfortably warm and noisy, e.g., noisy kitchen and dishwashing areas. Worker is exposed to the danger of minor cuts, bruises and burns from equipment.
