Duties

Help

As a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, GS-0346-13, you will plan work for subordinates, set and adjust priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Assign work based on priorities and capabilities of employees. Provide employees with advice, counsel or instruction on work and administrative matters. Identify developmental and training needs of employees and arrange training. Make judgments and decisions regarding the safety of personnel. Develop performance standards, explain performance expectations, and evaluate work performance. Manage, plan, organize, direct, monitor, control, analyze and coordinate the operations of the Supply and Services Division, to include property management, material management, transportation, supply and storage management, central issue facility management, Arms, Ammunition & Explosives security operations, GCSS-Army operations, and Cannibalization Point operations. Serve as USPFO logistics authority. Demonstrate mastery of general supply program management by applying new concepts and developments to supply problems. Plan for logistics program requirements. Conduct analysis and reviews, and issue directives and procedural instructions involving multi-level logistics operations. Formulate and approve operating procedures necessary to support the USPFO and the requirements of supported units and activities. Monitor, recommend, and coordinate automation of logistics functions and programs. Ensure USPFO responsibilities for receipting and accounting of property are met. Ensure compliance with excess supply and equipment programs. Advise USPFO and Command Staff on installation logistics, transportation, and supply readiness status of units. Plan, recommend, develop and issue approved policies affecting logistics support and operations. Conducts and develops long range plans and participates with other agencies. Serve as activity/fund manager for assigned logistics accounts. Formulate and recommend corrective action regarding property losses within the state. Perform program responsibility for the USPFO transportation support functions, provide oversight, and establish operating guidance and policies. Plan, direct and execute supply and services requirements for mobilization and demobilization of units. Perform other duties as assigned.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard.
You must be assigned to a compatible military position.
Wear of the military uniform.
Position may require a pre-employment physical.
May be subject to furlough actions.
May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Must obtain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.
Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus.
Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility.
This position is located on a tobacco free facility.
This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
Must attended Supervisor Training: failure to complete Supervisor Training within 12 months of appointment will result in reversion to previous position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Experience involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 36 months experience identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment. (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only and unspecified work schedule will result in disqualification.
