Duties

Help
  • You will coordinate overall purchase card budget for N9 to ensure all purchases remain within budget.
  • You will provide general office support for a variety of clerical activities and tasks including answering incoming calls, managing the customer service desk, mail, requisitions supplies, organizing communication and activities on a day-to-day basis.
  • You will accurately communicate all visit request requirements to visitors and external commands.
  • You will oversee travel execution across N9, roughly a $1M annual budget, and alert the N9 Business Operations Manager of any over or under execution.
  • You will frequently receive and screen visitors and phone calls from higher organizational levels, other agencies, or important public or commercial interests.
  • You will schedule in-house conferences, seminars, training sessions, and video teleconferencing (VTC) meetings, with varying numbers of participants with diverse interests.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Performing security clearance administration duties as a Security Coordinator; 2) Providing a wide variety of secretarial, administrative, and related support to executive level staff; 3) Serving as the lead Purchase Card holder, assisting the division in understanding the rules on use of government credit card, including source selection, proper procedures, and training requirements; 4) Serving as the Defense Travel System subject expert who oversees travel execution.

GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Assisting with security clearance administration duties; 2) Providing general office support for a variety of clerical activities and tasks; 3) Making periodic reports of expenditures and related data, as required by supervisor; 4) Creating reports based on travel data to support executive-level monthly resource management meetings.

GS-11:
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

  • Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, directly related to the position being filled.
  • Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, directly related to the position being filled.

GS-09:
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
  • Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree directly related to the position being filled.
