Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
The incumbent may be required to work on any day or shift, including PMs, nights, weekends, holidays, or on an "on call" basis, necessary to meet mission requirements.
This is a mandatory drug testing position.
This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
Tuberculosis testing is required.
Qualifications

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative functions to a medical treatment facility or hospital; performing basic patient care tasks such as measuring vital signs or obtaining general medical information; communicating with patients and clinicians about medical information; and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. This specialized experience is equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted
