Successful trainees will obtain the experience needed to qualify for and be offered a permanent FBI Electronics Technician position. Unsuccessful trainees will be removed from FBI employment.

Applicants can qualify for the GS-7 level based on Specialized Experience (SE) or Education. There are four (4) methods by which candidates may meet the qualification requirements for the Electronics Technician Trainee GS-7 position:
Method 1 - Education in Basic Electronics:
To qualify based on education, you must have completed six (6) credit hours in basic electronics. Hours can be obtained in one or more of the following courses:
