Principal advisor to the command on all information management activity within the area of operation.
Oversee and supervise functions of assigned GS and contract employees that provide technical support, solutions, policy review and updates, and seamless interconnectivity to IM/IT functions supporting medical care.
Contracting officer representative for all IT related matters to include services and personnel.
Ensures interoperability of all user accounts, to include borrowed manpower.
Primary liaison with Medical Readiness Command and Defense Health Network counterparts, as well as tenant unit organizations providing medical care.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
One year supervisory probationary period may be required.

Basic Requirement for 2210 Series Information Technology Management
Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience which includes participating in the development of plans regarding organizational Information Technology (IT) services, overseeing project plans to develop organizational policies and establishing metrics to measure and evaluate systems performance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
(1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: completing work independently that rarely requires editing or review by others.
