About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Resource Management Office.

This position is considered Regular Part-Time. You are guaranteed 20 hrs, however you could work up to 40 hrs per week. As a RPT employee you are eligible to earn annual/sick leave, sign up for Health/Dental, Life Insurance, 401(k) and NAF Retirement.

Employee will be eligible to use the fitness center, golf course, bowling center, club, swimming pool and other activities.

Duties

Help

  • Reviews and coordinates on NAF capital requirements budgets (NRB), all out-of-cycle NAF purchase requests and all five year capital requirements to ensure proper fund source is used.
  • Initiates property custodian paperwork and ensures new activity managers conduct a property inventory of all items.
  • Reviews and processes all NAF property addition, adjustment, transfer, and disposal forms prior to submitting to Chief Resource Manager (CRM) for approval.
  • Identifies if NAF Sale is required, manages the preparation and actual NAF Sale, coordinates with activity managers, ensures all paperwork is submitted, and plans for final disposal of equipment if not sold.
  • Works with managers to determine the fair market value for items sold at the NAF Sale.
  • Responsible for Surplus Property folder for NAF equipment and supplies for possible transfer within the squadron, ensures proper fund source is used.
  • Maintains documents with pictures and details of items, coordinates on paperwork to complete inter activity transfers.
  • Monitors and/or controls sealed bid auction for sale of NAF property.
  • Manages Pilferable Items program.
  • Acts as Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) and focal point for vehicle support requirements for both APF and NAF vehicles.
  • Determines vehicle requirements and budgets accordingly for NAF Council approval.
  • Records vehicles in the Vehicle Management System (VMS) and maintains vehicle records in SAIS even if vehicle has zero value.
  • Ensures vehicle maintenance and inspections are performed and documented.
  • Prepares and maintains a vehicle jacket folder for all NAF and DRMO vehicles.
  • Conducts training to instruct FSS personnel on proper use, operation, and safety aspects of vehicles assigned.
  • Maintains a current list of FSS personnel drivers' licenses.
  • Screens available vehicles in DRMO channels and obtains those needed to meet FSS requirements.
  • Reports and processes vehicle accidents and insurance claims according to AFI guidance and 509 LRS policies.
  • Operates a NAF vehicle when conducting the duties of this position.
  • Card holder of the NAF and APF purchase card.
  • May be required to perform duties involving minor maintenance and self-help construction of building and structures as needed.
  • May be required to maintain, assemble or make minor repairs to furniture and equipment.
  • Orders and picks up parts as required or directed.
  • May be required to perform duties involving vehicle maintenance.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

  • Must have responsible administrative, professional, or technical work which has provided a good knowledge of inventory management.
  • Must have progressively responsible knowledge or experience in supply work which has required acquisition and application of knowledge of the rules, regulations, procedures, and program requirements of one or more areas of a supply system.
  • Must have basic knowledge of diagnosing malfunctions, determining repair needs, repairing and testing small engines, such as those found on motor boats, lawn mowers, jet skis, snowmobiles and other similar equipment, vehicle and structure maintenance to ensure supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have knowledge of computer systems.
  • Must be able to work closely with managers to determine supply needs.
  • A good working knowledge of FSS programs, practices, and procedures is highly desired.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Physically able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds and be able to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 pounds. Able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
