Summary of Position:
Serves as the primary Information Technology Specialist and Systems Administrator for all networks within the Force Support Squadron. This position is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of all computer systems and networks. The role provides crucial technical support, ensures system security, and manages IT assets to support the squadron's mission. This is a position of trust.
System and Network Administration:
Manages and maintains all squadron computer networks, servers, and personal computers (PCs). Installs, configures, and updates software and hardware across all computer equipment. Performs imaging and configuration of new PCs and laptops. Executes and tracks Time Compliance Network Order (TCNO) patches and ensures adherence to standard desktop configurations. Manages trouble ticket system and provides customer support to computer systems issues.
Cybersecurity and Compliance:
Serves as the lead for Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) compliance, ensuring all payment processing systems and procedures adhere to PCI requirements. Conducts regular risk assessments and on-going checks to ensure the effectiveness of PCI DSS controls. Acts as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity audits and remediation activities.
Customer Support and Training:
Provides high-quality technical support and troubleshooting for all squadron personnel. Diagnoses and resolves hardware and software issues in a timely manner. Develops and delivers training to squadron personnel on the effective use of computer systems and software.
IT Asset Management and Planning:
Conducts analyses and provides recommendations for the acquisition of new hardware and software to enhance efficiency and economy. Manages the inventory of all Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE). Assists with the disposal of outdated ADPE through the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) or other official channels.
Key Roles:
Serves as the designated Computer Support Administrator (CSA), Functional System Administrator (FSA), and Organization Computer Manager (OCM).
Additional Duties:
May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty, including nights, weekends, holidays, and down days. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have a working knowledge of most recent industry Windows/Microsoft operating programs. Must understand the differences of each system. Must have working knowledge to install these operating systems and train users. Possess sufficient knowledge of electrical requirements and communications cabling to conduct surveys and propose necessary upgrades required to install new and/replacement systems. Must have knowledge of current "off-the-shelf' hardware, software and operating systems to be able to make well-informed recommendations for the purchase of new equipment and to actively participate in the source selection process. Position is a drug-tested position. Incumbent may be subject to random testing for drug use. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in enclosed spaces. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license

Conditions of Employment: Must possess Information Assurance Technician Level 2 certification within 6 months of hire. Must have 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or one-year specialized experience. Experience must be IT-related and equivalent to the NF-03 or GS-07 level. Must successfully complete a physical pre-employment within 60 days of onboarding. Must satisfactory completion a favorable T-3 (Secret Clearance) background investigation is a required.
