Duties

Help
  • Manages a team of 20 military and civilian personnel and approximately 100 contract staff.
  • Ensures efficient allocation of resources to achieve organizational goals while maintaining fiscal responsibility and meeting expenditure rate targets.
  • Responsible for leading and managing training support operations on the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) platform for cyberspace operations forces, Geographic Combatant Commands, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversees 24/7 helpdesk operations, range engineering support, content management, and mission rehearsals and exercise support across all three classification domains.
  • Ensures the effective execution of cyber training, exercises, and mission rehearsals to support the readiness of USCYBERCOM, cyberspace operations forces, cyber national mission forces, service cyber components, and other organizations.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft up to 10% of the time.
  • Requires TDY 25% of the time.
  • The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
  • This is a Drug Testing Designated Position. This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
  • The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R and must pass urinalysis testing, as required, prior to appointment, reassignment, or transfer and periodically thereafter.
  • This position has been designated “Mission Essential.” In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy5-1.
  • The incumbent may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.

Army CES positions apply Veteran's Preference to preference eligible candidates, as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 U.S.C., in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 3005, "CES Employment and Placement".

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) operating within the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) platform for cyberspace operations forces; 2) planning, directing, organizing and exercising control over supervisory and non-supervisory employees performing cyber-related duties; 3) serving as a subject matter expert to monitor requirements and plan or develop cyberspace-related training; 4) assisting in monitoring an operational budget and contract expenditures to support mission objectives; and 5) coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and resolve programmatic and/or operational issues.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone - no substitution for experience is permitted.
