You will assist N85 in all matters relating to shore facilities planning and military construction (MILCON) development, with emphasis on Integrated Undersea Surveillance System (IUSS).
You will prepare recommendations for N85 for SUBPAC's inputs and responses to facilities planning processes.
You will maintain complete, current project files for all submarine homeports and voyage repair bases.
You will conduct special studies and reviews to determine adequacy of design drawings and specifications for new classes of submarines, maintenance and voyage repair requirements.
You will maintain liaison with all undersea shore activities, major claimant's facilities personnel, and Engineering Field Activities.
You will prepare briefs for presentation to OPNAV, Fleet and TYCOM forums and working groups.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying engineering principles and practices to the planning and development of shore facilities and infrastructure; Monitoring and prioritizing execution of Military Construction and other projects and mitigating execution shortfalls; Conducting studies and reviews to identify requirements for shore facilities and infrastructure in support of force operations; and Liaising with shore activities and operational commands to identify and address developments which impact mission execution.
