The United States Space Force (USSF) Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH is searching for a Space MASINT Mission Integration Manager for NSIC 4IAS/INZ (GG-0801-13).

Description:
The 4th Intelligence Analysis Squadron at NSIC is seeking a highly skilled Engineer that can provide integrated intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to collect, process, exploit, and disseminate (PED) accurate and timely information that support space Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT) mission objectives in support of Space Domain Awareness. Perform duties involving the integration and management of transitional software development, providing direction and focus in order for contracted and FFRDC personnel to meet NSIC space Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT) mission objectives.


Ideal Candidate:
Education: BA, in Engineering, Computer Science or Programming or equivalent experience. Experience: 3-5 years of space MASINT experience with background in mission resource management and integration of both legacy and evolving modernized software applications to manage the Space MASINT mission architecture. Robust understanding of radar and electro-optical, multi-spectral, and hyper-spectral phenomena. Experience in contractual resource management and providing direction for MASINT data exploitation, enabling change detection methodology, pattern of life, and indication & warning applications. Significant experience is required for managing resources for MASINT analyst workbench development in web-enabled, net-centric architecture.


Key Skills and Abilities:
l. Knowledge of a broad range of professional multi-disciplinary engineering concepts, principles, standards, methods, techniques, practices and procedures to solve complex problems, provide expert advice and present innovative recommendations to colleagues and management for advancing MASINT programs, methods and other areas of responsibility.
2. Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in MASINT data processing, engineering and analysis such as would be gained through extended graduate study or experience, and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments; or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of comparable intelligence functions.
3. Knowledge of the mission, role, function, organizational structure, and operation of the DoD, Air Force, and the Intelligence Community, their communication and information infrastructures and organizations.
4. Skill in project planning, project management and time management to effectively execute the technical goals and requirements of teams and projects.
5. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective relationships, negotiating complex issues, and resolving conflicts based on mature judgement, experience, and recognized professional standing; ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and senior US/foreign mission partners.
6. Ability to make decisions in many areas of uncertainty in approach, methodology, or interpreting results from constant program changes, technological developments, or conflicting requirements; ability to effectively organize and analyze information; produce authoritative reports, position papers, and briefings that are responsive to the specific needs of commanders and senior management officials; present clear and concise findings; and effectively advocate for a position

  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI security clearance.
  • PCS / Incentive funding is authorized.
  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
  • May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
  • Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 10 days per year.
  • Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics, computing, physics, electronics, aeronautical/aerospace or related fields, from an ABET-accredited (for engineering) institution is required.
  • Incumbent may be subject to psychological screening/polygraph testing as an inherent primary requirement of their position.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, reading and intense data analysis are typical. This work is mostly sedentary performed in an office setting.
  • Irregular hours and overtime may be required to meet work requirements and deadlines.
