Duties

Help

The major duties of the Branch Chief for ATF, Workforce Support Branch, Workforce Wellness and Services Division (WWSD) position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Provides leadership and guidance to the Branch programs and directs and or coordinates assigned task studies or projects of which may involve coordination with other Bureau directives and may involve other government agencies.
  • Exercises full supervisory responsibilities and authority over WSB non-supervisory program management personnel. Plans, coordinates and oversees the effective development of Workforce Support Branch, Workforce Wellness and Services Division programs. Manages wellness information, studies, trends and technologies used to gather, analyze, and evaluate effectiveness of wellness programs, offering direction on best practices.
  • Makes initial work assignments to subordinates ensuring efficiency and usage of wellness resources. Ensures the Branch's efforts are coordinated with executive management, Bureau directives and all requests and referrals from the workforce to in a timely manner.
  • Ensures quarterly, annual and surveyed reports, summaries, and assessments submitted by subordinates meet the contracted standards for each program's scope of work. Ensures all coordination with Peer are properly tracked and documented.
  • Tracks and oversees processing of reasonable accommodation management and provides oversight of outreach programs such as Transitional Awareness, Wellness Advocates and 9/11 Responder programs. Coordinates with Peer Responder team leaders to ensure the utilization clinical support during critical incidents, training requests and wellness promotion. Plans, coordinates and oversees the effective development of wellness resource programs.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Branch Chief for ATF, Workforce Support Branch, Workforce Wellness and Services Division (WWSD) position GS-14, you must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the GS-14 grade level, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.

Specialized experience must include all of:

  • Promoting, building and coordinating the Workforce Support Branch programs; AND
  • Directing and/or coordinating assigned special studies or projects of which may cross functional lines and may involve other government agencies, local or state entities; AND
  • Extracting, compiling, and analyzing factual information to be used for analyzing strategic resourcing, program utilization and use of wellness resources curated from the Branch support of work life balance resources.
