Serve as a Supervisory Social Worker in Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) Department of a Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
Independently plan and carry out assigned duties in accordance with accepted professional Social Work theories, techniques and professional practice standards.
Provide guidance to the SARP Associate Department Head regarding policy and processes related to Behavioral Health issues, substance disorders, psychological and clinical consultation.
Provide targeted assessment and evaluation, including diagnostic impressions and functional status focused on the presenting problem.
Plan and organize work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts long and short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work and assign work to subordinates based on priorities.
Evaluate work performance of subordinates, give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
