Summary

Analyzes and provides expert assessments to J3, the USCYBERCOM management team and supported CC/S/As of anticipated and new Joint and DoD policy and instructions relevant to Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO).
Assesses potential effects on USCYBERCOM operations and recommends appropriate actions, including development of new/revised USCYBERCOM and supported CC/S/A policy and operations guides.
Collaborates within USCYBERCOM J3 Directorates, JFHQ-DODIN, and supported CC/S/As to identify DCO, DoDIN OPS and cyberspace defense programs and strategies that are consistent with USCYBERCOM.
Provides technical advice and consultation to USCYBERCOM J3 on all matters relating to malicious computer activity, malicious cyberspace actors (MCAs), DCO, DoDIN OPS, NETOPS, and cyberspace defense, and emerging trends.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with professional peers in Government, industry and private sector computer security, law enforcement, and technical research organizations to collect and exchange information useful to DCO.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
The incumbent will be required to be available for other than normal duty hours to include weekends to support exercises and crisis planning.
TDY will be required. The incumbent may be required to travel by military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of assigned tasks.
The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
