Help

Works under the direction of the Marketing Deputy Director and supports overall operational efficiency of the Marketing Department through coordination of the WRIKE project management system, coordination of MCCS advertising deliverables, execution of administrative and departmental support functions, and logistical support for Marketing Department events and programs.

Serves as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the WRIKE project management system. Ensures submissions are accurate, coordinates with the Graphics, Digital, Sponsorship and Events teams to assign tasks, track progress, and ensure deadlines are met. Monitors WRIKE submissions and identifies opportunities for user training (submitting departments) and/or process improvements. Responsible for working closely with internal and external customers and MCAS Miramar stakeholders.

Responsible for the timely coordination and placement of marketing materials and banners across MCAS Miramar in support of MCCS programs and initiatives. Updates, organizes, tracks, and coordinates placement schedules to ensure materials are displayed at the appropriate locations, installed on time, and removed as scheduled. Coordinates with the Graphics Department and Banner/Printing staff to ensure materials are produced, installed, and maintained in a professional manner. Must be able to prioritize competing requirements and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding delays, issues, or discrepancies.

Assists in coordinating MCCS program marketing materials, including the Monthly MCCS Brochure, Eatery Directory, Base Map, and other internal promotional assets. Coordinates facility signage for holidays, base notifications, and special events as needed.

Assists the Digital team in staying current on social media and digital marketing trends. Supports the creation and scheduling of basic social media graphics across platforms and maintains a working knowledge of procedures required to build e-newsletters in Constant Contact. Provides support in the execution of internal marketing campaigns for MCCS programs, including assisting with the scheduling of digital marketing assets for social media, marquees, and e-newsletters.

Assists with operational and logistical tasks required to support management and departmental functions.  Provides logistical and administrative support in processing invoices, submitting purchase orders, submitting contracts, and ensuring contractual obligations from Sponsors are being met.

Produce and provide updates on projects and create reports as required.  Assist with clerical and administrative tasks as assigned and special events as needed.   Assist in the preparation of financial plans, may also organize, tabulate, track and research demographic data for use in surveys and focus groups.

Provides exceptional customer service, and upholds high service standards using respect, courtesy, professionalism, and teamwork.  Takes initiative to solve problems quickly but recognizes when to seek assistance to resolve issues.  Collaborates in a professional, supportive, and proactive manner. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services.  

Adheres to safety regulations and standards.  Uses required safety equipment and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.  Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A combination of 1 year of experience in administrative support, marketing, or project coordination.
  • Basic Familiarity with social media platforms and/or digital marketing tools.
  • Knowledge of Canva and Constant Contact preferred but not required.
  • Must be highly organized, able to shift priorities quickly, and possess a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver products within the agreed upon deadlines.
  • Cross-functional team member willing to take ownership and responsibility for actions, behaviors, and contributions with a positive attitude, flexibility and adaptability when faced with changing situations or priorities.
  • This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 45 lbs. may be required.
  • Occasional weekend and evening hours are required
