You will facilitate classroom studies for law enforcement personnel using instruction techniques or formats (e.g., role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, lectures).

This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with grooming standards.
You must qualify and maintain all basic patrolman qualification standards, so that in the event of heightened Force Protection Condition or other emergent situation which may require the member to stand a patrolman post.
You must either currently possess or obtain qualification as an Antiterrorism Training Supervisor (AT TRASUP) or min be Journeyman Instructor Qualified.
You must have graduated from or able to graduate from the Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC) NEC 805A.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-08) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Preparing course materials in the field of law enforcement; 2) Providing up-to-date material and information to students; 3) Conducting lectures, discussions, conferences, and demonstrations on law enforcement, investigative techniques, procedures, and practical applications; and 4) Identifying training needs and requirements of each law enforcement student, ensuring training is scheduled and completed. Must successfully complete a required Police Training Academy or equivalent course, e.g. Navy Police Officer Academy; a federal or military or police academy; or equivalent law enforcement training. Must also successfully complete any annual sustainment training, Level 1 Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) contamination training (if applicable), and OC refresher training. This position does not meet the definition of Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) and is excluded from coverage as LEO for purposes of the Federal Employment Retirement System-Base Annuity in accordance with 5 CFR, Part 842, Subpart H.
