Duties

Help
  • Leads a Non-appropriated Fund HR team in executing work, plans and strategies within the assigned NAF operation.
  • Ensures work is performed to statutory, regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Trains, advises and guides team members on work procedures and best practices, regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Initiates and responds to internal customer, employees and candidates.
  • Prepares and analyzes performance and productivity reports, provides data for briefings, identifies areas for improvement.

  • This is a CHRA NAF Career Path II position. Incumbent must complete the requirements for CHRA NAF Career Path II within twenty-four (24) months of placement into the position

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
1. Possess eighteen (18) months of work experience in a federal human resources office or equivalent which demonstrates knowledge applying Non-appropriated Fund concepts, principles, laws, regulations and practices.
2. Experience analyzing, evaluating and recommending appropriate resolutions to complex issues.
3. Must possess prior experience leading a team, delivering training or a briefing.
4. Must have experience using Microsoft Office Programs, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) or equivalent.
5. Experience/knowledge using reporting tools, (e.g. Business Objects Applications, Cognos, etc.), and the ability to work with a variety of HR information systems.
The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower pay band (NF-03).

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess twelve (12) months of prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office providing human resources services to child and youth programs and have successfully completed training in Basic Staffing, Customer service, Organizational structure, Basic Writing, and Time Management.
