Duties

Help

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Vehicle Fleet Manager for host and subordinate units; ensuring the efficient and effective utilization and maintenance of vehicles and equipment (i.e., refueling vehicles, fire trucks, materiel handling equipment, de-icing, snow removal, aircraft towing, tactical, construction equipment, and DOMOPS vehicles). Serves as the program manager for the fleet custodial account, vehicle authorization and utilization programs. Prepares and defends base level submission for central appropriated fund procurement of motor vehicles and other budgetary accounts. Determines, coordinates and ensures timely development of weekly, monthly, and yearly operational and maintenance plans for assigned general and special purpose vehicles and a variety of equipment. Manages, formulates and performs analytical data reviews on a wide range of production indicators to assist in improving productivity or in determining causes of production delays. Performs Materiel Control functions. Manages delayed parts, bench stock and working stock; Initiates, monitors and follows up on part requests. Manages Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) program. Participates as OJT Instructor in the Vehicle Management area. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver’s license is mandatory.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Membership in the Colorado Air National Guard or those eligible to transfer.
  • Must hold the grade of E-1 thru E-5.
  • Submit all required documentation.
  • For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
  • To be eligible for a relocation incentive, the employee must have an appraisal from the prior with that’s a 3 or higher.
  • Relocation Incentive is available for only current federal employees. Will need a current appraisal in good standing.
  • Recruitment Incentive is for employees newly appointed to a position or following a break in service of at least 90 days.

Qualifications

Military Grades: E-1 thru E-5

1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.

2. An applicant's RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below. Resume must be two pages or less.

3. It must be documented with "from (mm/yy)" and "to (mm/yy)" dates and description of the specialized experience.

DO NOT copy each bullet listed below word for word and place into your resume; you must describe your personal experience as it pertains to each bullet.

You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume.

Must have at least 12 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following:
1. Experience scheduling workflow in more than one area and responsible for coordinating products or materials from support activities.
2. Experience in performing or supervising journeyman level work in a production facility.
3. Experience preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes.
4. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.

Education

Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.

If there is a compatible, required, or restricted MOS listed in this announcement - you will need that MOS to qualify for the position. If this position requires specific ASVAB scores, please contact the selecting supervisor with any questions.
7. This position may be contingent on the vacancy of the incumbent even if not otherwise stated in this announcement. Please contact the HRO with any questions regarding hiring dates.
8. Current COANG Technicians and AGRs hired for a position in which an MCR is required will remain in their current status unless/until the MCR is approved. In the event the MCR is not approved, they are accepting the position in their current status.
